谚语是人类发明和流传下来的宝贵的语言形式之一，谚语的表达简练、生动，寓意深刻，凝聚了各族人民的智慧。谚语可以反映一个国家或地区的风俗习惯，历史文化，气候、地理位置等，涵盖人民群众生活的各个方面。通过对比和比较汉英谚语的差异以及其所反映的文化背景，我们可以发现民族语言的共性和特性，从而更好地学习和应用英语。
