for local good causes by weekly quiz nights held at Burnham-On-Sea's
Ritz Social Club. The popular weekly Friday quizes have raised
a total of &2,004 so far during 2016 for local charities,

ST George’s Day was celebrated at both
Apex Park in Highbridge and Marine Cove in Burnham-On-Sea when

treatment for cancer at Weston General Hospital have raised hundreds

BURNHAM-On-Sea firefighters were called
to a car blaze on the M5 motorway on Sunday morning (April 24th).
One crew from Bridgwater and one crew from Burnham-On-Sea were
called out at 10am to extinguish the vehicle on the M5 entry slip
road at junction 21.

HUNDREDS of pounds was raised for local
charities when a fundraising cheese and wine evening was held
in Brent Knoll on Saturday. Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club held the
event at the village Parish Hall where 60 people enjoyed an evening
of nibbles and wines.

A BLAZING beacon was lit on top of Brent
Knoll on Thursday to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday. A chain
of beacons was lit across Somerset, with Glastonbury lit first
in our area followed by Brent Knoll and then Uphill near Weston.

PUPILS at a school in Highbridge have a
bigger choice of hundreds of extra books to read thanks to a fundraising
push. The pupils at Churchfield School and nursery took part in
a sponsored read, raising over &900 and Claudette Murley,
held a book pledge scheme.

WARNING has been issued to Burnham-On-Sea motorists to be extra
vigilant after several vehicles parked in the town have been attacked
