2012年北京中考英语考试说明中对写作是这么要求的：
能正确地使用大小写字母和标点符号。
能运用所学词汇，语法和句型，按照题目要求写出一篇不少于60词的
文段。能简单描述人物.场所.活动或事件。
能根据所给图示或表格写出简单的段落或操作说明。
能就常见话题表述事实，表达观点.情感和态度等。
能正确使用常见的连接词表示顺序和逻辑关系。
从近几年的考题看，话题贴近生活，利于学生表达，不会造成无话可说。书信的格式偏多，但侧重还是表述事实，表达观点，情感和态度。
从评分标准来看，基本要求可分为以下几点：1.正确性：词汇，语法，句型的正确性。2.内容充实：要回答全部要点，要言之有物，切忌空谈，尤其不要跑题。3.
逻辑清晰。要分段，要能正确使用常见的连接词表示顺序和逻辑关系。
做到以上几点，作文基本分不会太低，那么想要加分，向满分进军，则要注意词汇，句型使用的多样性，灵活性，以及段落连接是否顺畅，行文是否整洁。大家在最后还是要重视书写。特别是书写不好的同学，还是趁着最后一个月练一练，印象分很重要。
学生习作中常见错误：
1、时态。很多同学写作不知道统一时态。为了保证文章层次分明、条理清楚，要把时间固定下来，如：记叙一件事要用过去时;
写经常发生的事或对人物的描写，要用一般现在时。整个文章中的人称要一致，首尾呼应，不要随意改动，以免造成误解。
2、词汇。不要为了追求“一鸣惊人”而去找一些生冷的词汇，对这些一知半解的词你不会用，不知道如何搭配，结果可能适得其反，使文章显的生硬、不协调，甚至错误百出，所以要使用有把握的词，避免不必要的失分。比如说发生了一起意外事件，我们通常用“have
an accident ”来表示，不要错误的使用“have an
incident”。
3、表达。注意不同语言的表达习惯，也是写好英语作文的重要环节，如“我的理想是做一名歌手”，很多同学写成
“My ambition is to do/make a singer，” “to
do”表示“做”或者“干”，“to
make”表示“制作”，而“做一名歌手”则表示“成为一名歌手”应该用“be/become
singer”;又如“看书、看报”应用“read
a book/newspaper”，而不是“see a
book/newspaper”。因此，平时应该注意不同语言的表达习惯，切忌望文生义或一味生搬硬套。（希望大家熟悉大纲1600上的常用词组表达）
4、句型。有些同学因怕出错而只写短句或简单句，写出的文章过于幼稚、空洞乏味。要使文章有血有肉就要把平时学的知识用进去，如：定语从句、宾语从句、非谓语动词和比较等句型，关键时用上一、二个，就能使文章不同凡响，更有文采，特别是对关联词的使用，如“so
that”、“not…but ”“not only...but also”
等，会使你的文章逻辑结构紧密、层次鲜明、条理清楚，更能显示出你的英文功底，但要做到这些并非一日之功，要靠平时的不断训练和积累。
5、书写。最简单的增分点就是认真的书写。工整漂亮的书写会给评卷老师留下美好的第一印象，在扣分时自然会“手下留情”，而且很多地区都在写作上有1分的书写分。只要平时多下点功夫，得到这一分并不难。

来信内容简要说明：
Alice表示自己的好友Angela问自己借钱，但自己不知是否该借给她，担心对方可能不能归还。问刘明是否遇到同样的问题？请刘明给自己一些建议，期待回信。
解题思路（如何写这封信）：
首先，大家一定要看清楚信的内容。然后看清楚题干要求你答哪几点，务必把三个内容要点都答上去，才能不丢分哦。
其次，安排文章结构，分为三部分。
文章第一部分，首先要做的就是在来信中找问题，很明显，只有一个问句”
Do you have the same problem?” ，所以作文中应该开门见山：I have
met things like this. / I have never met things like this.
而且，来信的第一句话为” I’m so sad。”，
所以第一部分内容可以表示安慰 “ Don’t worry” 或者表示理解对方的感受

文章第二部分，根据第二个要点，提出建议。可能涉及到如下几种建议，如：
L &If it’s not a lot of money,
you can lend it to her。（如果钱不多的话，可以借给她）
2 &If she wants to borrow a lot
of money from you， you’d better suggest her ask her
parents for help. （如果她想要借很多钱的话，你最好建议她去问她的父母寻求帮助）

your close friend。（如果你决定把钱借给她的话，就要信任她，因为她是你的好朋友。）
文章第三部分，根据第三个要点，谈谈自己的感受，其实，也就是回答“why”，即：为什么要给出如上建议的原因。如：
