Seder friends…
Camp Lotus will again be the gathering place for Seder. For all of us forgetful seniors and also folks who didn’t come last year, this page will give you information about our facilities and something of what you can expect.
Because both Friday night and Saturday night dinners are going to be catered, it is MANDATORY that you RSVP and pay in advance for food. The best way for you to RSVP is to call Camp Lotus and say you are coming to Seder - you can pay over the phone with a credit card or mail in a check. You may e-mail Camp Lotus at
but we only take payments by phone and check.
Let us know which meals you’d like to partake of and whether you plan to camp or stay in an RV site at Camp Lotus. We have a ton of camping space and may still have some lodging.
Camping in tents or RV’s is free. If you want an RV hookup site (water and electricity) you must reserve one! The hook-up sites are a short walk from the large Seder dinner gathering area.
We will provide complimentary brewed coffee and homemade muffins Saturday and Sunday mornings at the store deck between 7:30-9:00am.
Other food you can bring or buy in town or at our deli/store. Someone will set up a “camp kitchen” in our near the large Seder campfire for personal cooking. Camping will be next to the river for easy put-ins and take-outs.
Friday dinner will be served at 6:30 and will again be in “the BARN” up near the store. You don’t need to bring anything, the meal (East Indian food), set-up, and clean-up are provided.
Saturday night’s Seder dinner and story telling will be outside down by the river, also at 6:30. This meal is also catered. We will have plates and utensils but you can also bring your own. If it rains we’ll move it to the Barn.
Please call Camp Lotus by April 15th - 530 622-8672 - to pay for the meal(s), and let us know how many people are camping so there is the right amount of food and plenty of space.
COST: $50 for both meals and staff to do clean-up/dishes and $25 for one. This includes a little cushion for the “scholarship” fund and a keg of excellent micro brew IPA.
The campground is open to the public Seder weekend. This time of year there are very few people camping. We do have strict “quiet hours”. After 10pm revelry can move up the “the Barn”.
Thanks for all the feedback we’ve received about last year. It’s made it easier to make plans for this year. And by the way, this is again a very dry water year, so the South Fork Scheduled flows in April will be controlled releases of
1300 cfs from 9-noon at Chili Bar, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
