　　手工艺是传统自然经济、农耕社会的产物，近一百年来它正飞速走向消亡。随着工业化的迅速发展，廉价工业制品的大量涌现，手工业种就渐渐从我们的生活中消失，如今已所剩无几。保护得再好的老手艺也无法改变无人使用或日渐减少的需求这一事实，而通过旅游工艺品保存下来的手艺和它的原版相比，只是徒剩躯壳。“一个地区的人们现在无法再像过去那样，用当地的木料盖房，又在树木再生时翻修，现代人群已经无法形成一个良性循环的食物链和生态圈”。

　　日本作家盐野米松说，“当没有了手工业以后，我们才发现，原来那些经过人与人之间的磨合与沟通之后制作出来的物品，使用起来是那么的适合自己的身体，还因为它们是经过手工一下下地做出来的，所以它们自身都是有着体温，这体温让使用它的人感觉温暖。”

　　仅仅从技术上也能享受手工艺品的好处，比如，沈家兄弟新酿出来的黄酒就比工厂里几年的陈酒还更加醇美；日本手工艺人制作的簸箕能够使用22年，他自制的工具簸箕刀能使用40多年，而且10年不用磨；著名的“满山”鱼钩150年来都是同一形状；出色的木匠用刃器削出来的木头具有弹拨水珠的能力！
　　如何能训练出这样精湛的手艺？不仅仅是老师的言传身教，还要靠学徒边看边学，日积月累。说起来真有武侠小说的韵味：一个宫殿木匠的学徒每天工作的内容就是先磨各种刃器，师傅会交给他一片刨花，学徒必须将手里的刃器磨到能刨出同样的刨花才行。这就是他们每日的功课，这项修炼一般人需要――十年！

　　手工艺其实也有内在的要领，手艺人凭的是岁月打磨出来的本能感觉，若让其著书立说，恐怕就是为难他们了。但，或许学习者中倒有人能总结出原理和技要，编写成教材，作为基本标准来传承。
　　德国的工业技术为什么那么精良持久并能不断更新，就是因为他们有专门的技校，按照统一的标准来培养技术工人。不知他们是不是已经把技艺的感觉都标准化了，那样的标准才是灵魂所在。
　　就像蛙泳的技艺，妻后来是通过音乐的原理来描述那无法用体育语言说清楚的节奏的韵律感，颇让旁人羡慕，纷纷打听教练是谁。把这些体验生成的规律反馈给教练，以回报他的耐心教导。
　　当炮兵那会儿，把教科书的三手操作法，改成了五手操作法，虽然多了两手，但精度和速度却更能达到双五的优秀标准，效率显著。退伍时，留给了部队，如获至宝。
　　澳大利亚的葡萄酒是工业生产的，而法国却还有手工酿制的，同样遇到如何融合的问题。
　　关键在于经营者的智慧和奉献的精神。

　　社会的变迁，势必要使一些东西消失，又使一些东西出现，这是历史发展的惯性。更多、更民间的手工艺被按照“能不能养家糊口”的标准淘汰出我们的生活，成为绝响，再美好也留不住。保护，纪录，发扬还是挽留？更多时候我们只能眼看一种文化和生活在慢慢地消逝，痛感我们所损失的巨大。
　　为什么有人在钢筋丛林里听鸽哨而动魂？为什么有人一饮沈氏家酿而心神摇荡？莫非那些印有手艺人指纹的物品，也一样纪录了人类无法诉诸纸上的秘密？
　　砍伐山上的树，得根据用途来决定砍伐的时期，而这个时期每年只有那短暂的十天。匠人们围绕着这十天来设定自己全年的计划――人的生活是围绕着自然运转的。我们的国家曾经是这样的一个国家啊。现在，这些跟大自然有着不可分割关系的手艺正要从这个国家中消逝，不久的将来，将不再有人具有如何与大自然共存的智慧。

社会是要不断进步的，用高科技来代替曾经的手工，不仅快捷又省人力，岂不更好？
不过对于古老相传的东西，慢慢失去却是一大....

　　糖老人的糖人是所有手艺人中最棒的。工具依旧是那些工具，一张漆木盘子，一块白玉石的案板，再加上下面架了小煤炉的熬糖的铁锅就成了。那些特制的糖起初放在铁锅里的时候，还是硬硬的几块，半红不红的。熬着熬着，那些糖块就化了，变得浓而稠，越熬就越香。待到糖都熬化的时候，孩子们早已经等得不耐烦了。孩子们搓着手，用手把漆木盘子上的圆棍子用力一推，木棍子就飞快地转了起来，仿佛飞速旋转的摩天轮。每逢圆棍子到了“蟠龙”的位置，孩子们就大声喊着：“停下来！停下来！”当然“蟠龙”不是轻易可以转到的，孩子们多半只能转到其它小动物。运气更坏点的，就转到“四筒”、“六筒”或“八筒”了。糖老人用勺兜了糖，在白玉板上画了起来。在白玉板上画糖人是需要技巧的，力度火候都要掌握好。画飞鸟羽毛的时候动作要快，这样翅膀才会有张力；画仙鹤腿的时候，关节的地方要顿一顿才有力度；画耗子偷油的时候，则更加注意造型的生动性了。以上这些糖画是不能代表糖老人手艺的，糖老人最拿手的是“蟠龙”。他的“蟠龙”和其他手艺人的“蟠龙”不一样，他的“蟠龙”是可以活灵活现立在地上的。糖老人把龙头做好以后，就放在一边，然后去做龙爪和龙身。龙爪和龙身都是立体的，龙身上面还刻了细致的龙鳞，再精致些还会在龙身上加风景和人物，待到“蟠龙”身上所有的部位做完以后，糖老人就用弹簧把这些部位连接起来。“蟠龙”的舌头、眼睛、脑袋和尾巴都是活的，微风吹过来时就张牙五爪起来，大人小孩见了，没有不佩服他手艺的。除了“蟠龙”以外，糖老人还会做“麒麟送子”和“猪八戒背媳妇”，这些都是在其他手艺人那里看不到的。

这些明间工艺都是国家的文明的精华呢！！很多国粹面临失传的危险！！！
其实很多明间的工艺现在国外都是很吃香的呢！希望更多的人们来关注我们国家的传统工艺！！

　　64岁的次仁是西藏日喀则地区有名的银匠老艺人，他出身贫苦，12岁起跟着哥哥学手艺。西藏民主改革后，他成为合作社的手艺工人，有固定工资收入，生活开始好起来。1986年他开始招收徒弟，至今已培养了15名徒弟，其中7人技艺高超，能独立制作各种西藏传统手工艺品。次仁老人精湛的技艺赢得广泛的赞誉，他制作的八宝银色木碗在1994年亚洲太平洋第五届国际博览会上荣获银质奖。 儿子儿媳十分孝顺，两个孙子活泼可爱，一家人生活在一起，次仁老人尽享天伦之乐。

　　泥人、面人、风筝……这是多少代中国人童年记忆里抹不去的灵动色彩；刺绣、年画、剪纸……这是让多少外国人啧啧称绝的艺术。历经数代传承，拥有一身绝活的民间艺人们身处何处，境遇如何？记者在中国艺术研究院举办的“民间艺术创作研究员”聘任仪式上，结识了30位来自全国各地的民间艺术家，由此展开了半个多月的调查。
　　现状调查
　　后继乏传人 绝活正消亡
　　据了解，中国民间艺术从业者数量整体呈萎缩状态，后继乏人。在上海，起源于明代的上海独门绝技露香园顾绣从业者从明代的数百人萎缩到十多人，且平均年龄在40岁以上；在湖南，传统织锦艺术的从业者从20世纪80年代的2000人到现在的几十个人……
　　更令人堪忧的是，许多民间艺术正在逐渐走向消亡。正如全国政协委员、中国民间文艺家协会主席冯骥才在两会期间接受采访时所说“民间文化的传承人每分钟都在逝去，民间文化每一分钟都在消亡。”据悉，在宁波一个市的415项民俗类民间文化资源中，已经消亡的就有60项。
　　现身说法
　　北京哈氏风筝第四代传人哈亦琦接受记者采访时表示，目前中国的民间艺术家可能都不缺徒弟，但是能把传统的手艺原汁原味继承发展，甚至有超越的却非常少，不合适的徒弟就不能算真正意义上的传人。
　　哈亦琦自己也有徒弟，但他坦言自己对徒弟还不太满意。他认为，传统手艺难寻传人几乎是现代社会没办法回避的问题：“现在，没有多少人愿意潜心学这种复杂的手艺。可是现在孩子们的娱乐活动很多，电脑、电视……选择消遣的方式多，更不容易对传统的艺术培养起兴趣来了，有兴趣吧，功底又不一定到位。”

　　哈亦琦，男，回族，1954年3月出生，北京人，“北京民间玩具工艺大师”、“一级民间工艺大师”，哈氏风筝第四代传人，与其父合著有《中国哈氏风筝》一书。
　　手艺难赚钱 市场遭克隆
　　由于民间工艺多数工序繁杂，多以手工制作为主，价格也就偏贵，大概是同类机器制品的十倍以上。有些工艺美术制品的厂家，往往购买民间艺术家作品后，稍作改动就大批量克隆，手工制品更是没了市场。一些民间艺术家由于缺乏法律意识和经济头脑，在市场交易中还常常受骗。
　　现身说法
　　老北京泥玩具传人双起翔的工作室里，满院堆放的都是他的泥人。双起翔的民间彩塑技艺很高，多年来，他摸索了一套彩塑工艺的经验，作品多次得奖。
　　他告诉记者，自己现在觉得最遗憾的地方就是没有一个合适的渠道来卖自己的作品，自己以前出去给一些强烈要求买我作品的酒店送过货，但常常要不回钱来，或者少很多，自己年纪不小了，也只能吃哑巴亏，到现在只敢给一些文化部门比如博物馆或者熟悉的收藏者来做一些作品。

　　双起翔 1931年出生，男，满族，北京人。1944年师从北京泥人圣手李荣山，“北京工艺美术大师”。
　　问题支招
　　改变“传人继承”的单一模式

　　传人继承的方式使人亡艺亡的现象大量存在。其实，民间艺术家们将自己的手艺理论化、资料化是使民间艺术传承下去更好的方式。艺术研究院聘用民间艺术家做研究员主要是希望促成他们在这方面工作的开展。
　　如今受聘的个别民间艺术家已有零星的文字、图片整理、著录。比如“风筝哈”已有文字著作出版了，惠山泥人的第五代传人王南仙正在进行历代泥人制作的调查、梳理工作。
　　手工作坊和流水生产两不误

　　民间艺术无法走进普通人的生活，这容易使一些优秀的民间艺术形式自生自灭。艺术的普及和推广受到了较大的限制，民间艺术应该在保持手工艺术品制作的同时，由艺术家本人监督生产一部分流水作业的产品，既有珍贵的收藏品，也有大众的高档消费品。

　　八月，晴朗的下午，无风。马路上飞驰而过的汽车，将炙热的空气，卷进杨建华的毛笔庄。正在店门边赶制一支胎毛笔的杨师傅，下意识的向后靠了靠。他抬起左手，用衣袖擦了擦额头的汗珠，并顺势捏了捏有些酸痛的右肩膀。
　　杨建华的毛笔庄，原本开在湖南省常德市老城区的一条僻静小巷里，专门为书画专业人士及业余爱好者，加工制作较高档的毛笔，光顾笔庄的都是些经朋友介绍的老熟人。常德旧城改造，拆掉了原来的门面，他才将店开到金钻广场后面的新一佳超市旁。这里的生意虽然比原来要好多了，但每月的开销也相应增加不少，门面转让费，每月租金，工商、税务、卫生费用等加起来，也是一笔不小的数目。新店开张，杨师傅决定不再单一的加工经营毛笔，他利用书画界的朋友关系，组织了一些书画作品，挂在店里，一来装点门面，增添点艺术气氛。二来兼营字画，贴补店面开支。同时，他还从北京进了些精致的景泰蓝笔杆和红木笔盒，拓展新的业务――加工制作婴儿胎毛笔。
　　今年41岁的杨建华，自16岁开始学做毛笔，已有25个年头。
　　杨师傅看着挂在笔架上的毛笔，被阵阵热浪吹拂，飘摇晃悠。不禁停下手中的动作，回想自己这25年，做毛笔的酸甜苦辣。25年前，身型单薄的他，背了简单的行李，只身前往长沙，拜湖南制笔行业著名的杨师傅为师，学做毛笔。学艺归来，正赶上街道居委会开公司办厂风潮，杨建华所在的青阳阁居委会办了个毛笔厂，他顺理成章的进厂当了一名合同制工人，并是厂里少有的技术骨干。这样的日子，很荣光却短暂。六年不到，毛笔厂因种种原因，步入困境，工人们四散自谋生路。从毛笔厂出来，杨师傅迷茫了，自己除了做笔的手艺，其他的什么也不会。无奈之下，他只好找亲戚凑几十，求朋友借几百的弄了点钱，租了间小门面，开间小小的毛笔庄，制作销售毛笔。
　　制作毛笔，工艺复杂，工序繁多。首先要选购优质的兽毛，用药水浸泡处理分类存放。根据笔的大小、长短、功用，配备不同硬度的笔头。笔头分为软性笔，用羊毛做的羊毫；硬性笔，用黄鼠狼尾毛加进少量野兽毛做的狼毫；中性笔，用羊毛、黄鼠狼尾毛混合其他野兽毛发做的兼毫。笔头的制作很麻烦，选好多少适宜的兽毛过水压齐后，用牛骨梳反复梳理，直到笔头尖挺、齐顺、圆润、匀称，笔头就做好了。然后扎捆成型，用热松香上胶，安装笔杆。最后整笔，通过揉擦笔头，将粗、弯、杂而没有锋尖的笔毛剔除。
　　现在，一般制笔厂造笔都采用大机器流水线生产，手工制笔逐渐淡出文房。杨师傅原来的同门师兄弟，也都转行他业，仍坚持手工制笔的就只有他一人了。面对从业的尴尬，行业的孤独与市场的寂寥，杨建华感慨万千：手工制毛笔不仅是老手艺，更是中华民族的优秀传统文化，是国粹，不能丢呀。
　　湛蓝的天空没有一丝云彩，热气堵在鼻口，人仿佛置身于火炉般难受。杨建华将手臂在脸盆里浸泡了一会，甩了甩水，继续赶制手中的胎毛笔。

　　今年62岁的何英华师傅，出生在洞庭湖畔的汉寿县，自小就与船打交道。搬砖运瓦建房子靠船，捕鱼捞虾割芦苇驾船，读书串门走亲戚驶船。船，不仅仅是湖区人运输工具，更是人们出行，不可或缺的代步工具。
　　何师傅自懂事开始学修船，至今已快50年。刚学修船时，只能帮师傅们打下手，做点锯木、出料、钉边、车眼、调浆、补缝之类的活计。算计船体尺寸，构建船形轮廓，安置关键部件等技术系数高的活，那是掌作师傅的专利，一般不轻易教人。关键技术学不到手，就不可能独立造船。即使，船再小。过去很多修船工，修了一辈子的船，造了一辈子的船，也只能是个帮手。
　　何师傅17岁时，有幸进常德县船舶厂，开始系统的学习修船、造船。通过几年的勤奋努力，何师傅终于能独当一面的造大型木船，成了厂里数一数二的技术骨干，修船能手。可惜，好景不长，国家保护森林的政策出台，禁止乱砍乱划树木以后，木材异地使用不是件简单事。洞庭湖多水少山，想在洞庭湖边找到造船的椿树、梓树，谈何容易。用其他替代树木造船，耐腐抗撞能力都要差些。这样，水泥船、钢板船甚至玻璃钢等轻材质的船，以材料要求低、造价相对便宜、耐腐朽抗撞击等优势，逐渐取代了木船雄据江湖数千年的霸主地位。何师傅修船的手艺，也随着木船的退隐江湖，而搁浅。

　　前不久，一名在常德城的沅江边开水煮活鱼餐馆的老板，找到了何师傅，想请他将一条破烂的木船修整后装鱼，用其招揽生意，迎合人们的复古怀旧心态。何师傅从家里翻出久违的修船工具，叫上同乡的陈师傅，延续那魂牵梦绕的手艺――修木船。
　　炎热的夏季，蓝白色的天空没有一丝云彩，刺眼的白光忽闪在江边干枯的泥块上。常德沅水大桥下，一片难得的荫凉。何师傅将船搁置在这难得的阴影下。大桥下既没有电，也没有生活用水。他们只能用最原始的修船器具：斧头、木锯、扯钻、顶锥、凿子、刨子、马钉、桐油灰浆等，用最古老的修船手艺，修补木船。
　　这早已退役的木船，伤痕累累，千疮百孔。材料短缺，工具简陋，要修好得花些心思，想些办法。何师傅他们小心的清除一块块腐朽的船底板，仔细的拔掉一颗颗锈乱的铁马钉，认真的校正一格格歪斜的船隔舱。几位老人似抚摩自己孩子般的关爱这船，每一锤，每一锯，每一钻，每一弹，都是那么轻柔，那么亲切。锤的轻缓起落，锯的细慢拉扯，钻的柔和节奏，弹的准确无误。一切，都是为了这一生对船的依恋，对自己追求了一辈子的手艺生涯的难舍情谊。

　　何师傅，却在船的康复里，感伤：这也许是自己修船手艺的最后展示。
