For silty clay,the cyclic simple shear test of undisturbed samples and the dynamic triaxial test of compacted speciments were performed under 100kPa,200kPa and 300kPa consolidation pressures and the curves of(D/D_(dmax)-γ) were obtained.

It was shown that the maximum dynamic shear modulus Gdmax obtained from cyclic simple shear test was less than that of dynamic triaxial test,and the relation of Gd/Gdmax-γ was different under different consolidation pressures.
