Which of the following is information provided by the passage? Transnational cooperation among companies is experiencing a modest recovery among United States firms这句话的改写, 该句的愿意是说,T coop在经历一段modest recovery 温和的复兴。

1. Finland imposes a high tariff on the export of unprocessed hazel nuts in order to ensure that the nuts are sold to domestic processing plants. If the tariff were lifted and unprocessed hazel were sold at world market prices, more farmers could profit by growing hazels. Nevertheless, since all the processing plants are in urban areas, removing the tariff would seriously hamper the government's effort to reduce urban unemployment over the next ten years.削弱A. Some of the by-products of processing hazels are used for manufacturing plants and plastics.B. Other countries in which hazels are processed subsidize their processing plants.C. More people in Finland are engaged in farming hazels than in processing them.D. Buying unprocessed hazels at lower than would market prices enables hazel processors in Finland to sell processed nuts at competitive prices.E. A lack of profitable crops in driving an increasing number of small farmers in Finland off their land and into the cities.

1. Bank depositors in the USA are all financially protected against bank failure since the government insures all individuals'bank deposits. An economist contends that this insurance is in part responsible for the high rate of bank failures, as it removes from depositors any financial incentive to find out whether the bank that holds their money is secure against failure. If depositors were more selective, then banks would have to be secure to compete for depositors' money. The economist's argument makes which of the following assumptions?答案是Potential depositors are able to determine which banks are secure against failure. The difference in the interest rates paid to depositors by different banks is not a significant factor in bank failures.2.Political advocacy groups have begun to use information services to disseminate information that is then accessed by the public via personal computer. Because many groups thus can bypass tradional news sources, whose reporting is selective and to present their political opinions directly to the public, information services present a more balanced depiction of the complexities of political issues than any tradional news source presents.Which is an assumption on which the argument above depends?答案是:informatin on political issues desseminated through information services does not come almost entirely from advocacy groups that share a single bias. Traditional news sources seldom report the opinions of political advocacy groups accurately.3. A great number of complex repair jobs carried out by Bec Repairs have to be rewarded under the company's warranty. The reworked jobs are invariably satisfactory. Thus when initial repairs are not adequate, it is not because the mecha rather, there is clearly a level of focused concentration that complex repairs require that is elicited more reliably by rework jobs than by first-time jobs. There is no systematic difference in membership between the group of mechanics who do first-time jobs and the group of those who do rework jobs. Bec Repairs does not in any way penalize mechanics who have worked on complex repair jobs that later had to be rewarked.

If depositors were more selective, then banks would have to be secure to compete for depositors' money. 第三个 文中说not because the mechanics lack competence,那就 mechanics的问题,答案补充说 两组工作人员体系上是没有差别的, 你的那个 无关这里补充一下 关于 无关 即out of scope Out of Scope Answers. These answers simply miss the point of the argument and support issues that are either unrelated to the argument or tangential to the argument 再补充一下 strength和 assumption的区别Strengthen questions ask you to support the argument in any way possible. This type of answer has great range, as the additional support provided by the answer choice could be relatively minor or major. Speaking in numerical terms, any answer choice that strengthens the argument, whether by 1% or by 100%, is correct.Assumption questions ask you to identify a statement that the argument assumes or supposes. An assumption is simply an unstated premise—what must be true in order for the argument to be true. An assumption can therefore be defined as what is necessary for the argument to be true.

The FMD, foot and mouth disease is caused by a virus transmitted to humans by deer ticks. Generally deer ticks pick up the virus while in the larval stage by feeding on infected black mice. However, certain other species on which the larvae feed do not harbor the virus. If the population of these other species were increased, more of the larvae would be feeding on uninfected hosts, so the number of ticks acquiring the virus would likely decline. Whether the deer tick population's size is currently limited by the capability of animals for the tick's larval stage to feed on我选的:Whether deer ticks that were not infected as larvae may become infected as adults by eating the deers on which infected deer ticks have fed.

这是一个 自带条件的结论, 评价的部分 感染幼鹿的数量受到 capability of animals for the tick's larval stage to feed on(幼鹿吃mice的能力)的限制 即说明当幼鹿吃的infected black mice减少时(或是more of the larvae would be feeding on uninfected hosts),the number of ticks acquiring the virus would likely decline选项 刚好回答了 结论自带的条件你的答案 幼鹿不感染但是成年后可能感染 是无关的

On pacific islands, a newly arrived gecko species, the house gecko, is displacing the previously established mourning gecko in urban areas, but pupulations of the species are more stable in rural areas far from human settlement. The house gecko does not attack the nourning gecko, but in areas where insects congregate it prevents the mourning gecko from feeding on them.Which of the following contributes most to an explanation of the difference between gecko populations in urban and rural areas? In places where there are lighted buildings, insects tend to gather around the light. In urban areas, geckos are valued because they eat so many insects. Some airlines allegedly reduce fares on certain routes to a level at which they lose money, in order to drive competitors off those routes. However, this method of eliminating competition cannot be profitable in the long run. Once an airline successfully implements this method, any attempt to recoup the earlier losses by charging high fares on that route for an extended period would only provide competitors with a better opportunity to undercut the airline's fares. Airline executives generally believe that a company that once underpriced its fares to drive away competitors is very likely to do so again if new competitors emerge. When airlines dramatically reduce their fares on a particular route, the total number of air passengers in that route increases greatly.
