&折腾是一种生活态度&。买了个显卡，在公司折腾了下双屏和3屏，记录一下。
3个20英寸的显示器，分辨率都是。
普通双屏：1个屏幕有任务栏，另一个没有任务栏，分辨率单独设置，壁纸重复显示一张，分辨率都是。
双屏水平拼接：通过显卡驱动设置，操作系统检测到1个显示器，分辨率为个超长任务栏横跨2个屏幕，1个超长壁纸横跨2个屏幕。
3屏水平拼接：分辨率为。
双屏垂直拼接：类似，分辨率为。
big desktop（大桌面）：即拼接模式，A卡在Linux上使用这个词。
水平伸展模式（跨越两台显示器水平拉伸桌面）：即水平拼接模式，A卡在Windows上使用这个词。
large horizontal desktop作为一个大水平桌面（水平平移模式）：即水平拼接模式，N卡在Windows上使用这个词。

双屏拼接的优点：《愤怒的小鸟》效果挺好（从一个屏幕飞到另一个）、战争游戏效果挺好（《RUSE》场面宏大，赞）。
双屏拼接的缺点：赛车游戏没法玩（因为车在中间被屏幕边框分隔了。如《blur》、《极品飞车14》）、射击游戏没法玩（准星在屏幕中间，如cod4、cod6）。
3屏拼接的优点：战争游戏效果好（《RUSE》）、赛车游戏效果好（《blur》）、射击游戏效果好（《荣誉勋章》）。
3屏拼接的缺点：大分辨率爆显存、爆显卡。经实测，ATI HD 5670 1G接三屏，《blur》不卡（还支持局域网）、《RUSE》不卡、《极品飞车14》偶尔卡、《荣誉勋章》偶尔卡、《cod4》和《cod6》能调到的分辨率，可惜瞄准镜还是变成椭圆了、《星际2》不支持分辨率。

A卡 XP 普通双屏：
1个屏幕有任务栏，另一个没有任务栏，分辨率单独设置。
壁纸：居中或拉伸时重复显示一张；平铺时，可以使用超长壁纸。
在ATI 690G集成显卡X英寸显示器上测试通过，截图如下。
A卡 XP 双屏拼接设置：
通过显卡驱动设置，操作系统检测到1个显示器，分辨率为个超长任务栏横跨2个屏幕，1个超长壁纸横跨2个屏幕。
在ATI HD 4350显卡上测试通过。
在ATI 690G主板集成显卡X1200上测试通过，截图如下。
A卡 Win7 双屏拼接设置：
在Windows 7上，需要ATI HD 5xxx系列及以上（含5xxx）显卡，通过显卡驱动设置，操作系统检测到1个显示器，1个超长任务栏横跨2个屏幕，1个超长壁纸横跨2个屏幕。
在ATI HD 4350上测试失败，右键里没有&创建组&。
在ATI HD 5450上测试通过，在ATI HD 5670上测试通过，截图如下。
A卡 Ubuntu 双屏拼接：
在ATI HD4350上测试失败。
装了ATI驱动，然后想开启big desktop，总是提示错误：Error: Options, e.g. --dtop and --desktop-setup, are not supported when RandR 1.2 is enabled!。折腾了一宿，没装上。

不过网上有A卡 Ubuntu成功开启big desktop的：
N卡 XP 双屏拼接设置：
Nvidia使用nView设置双屏拼接，目前nView双屏拼接支持Windows XP，不支持Vista、Win7。
在Nvidia 9800GT上测试通过。
在Nvidia G210上测试通过，截图如下：
N卡 win7 不支持双屏拼接：
N卡在win7上不支持双屏拼接，这是因为驱动不支持。
有神人竟然突破nvidia的限制，在win7下实现双屏拼接（large horizontal desktop）：
在Nvidia G210上测试失败，截图如下。
N卡quadro专业卡Win7 支持双屏拼接
N卡quadro专业卡Win7 支持双屏拼接，&启用Mosaic模式&即可。
在Nvidia quadro 600专业显卡上测试通过，截图如下：
N卡 Ubuntu双屏拼接效果截图：
1个超长任务栏、1个超大分辨率、1个超长壁纸。
我试了1天，成功了，在Nvidia G210上设置成功，截图如下。
1、下载安装nvidia官方驱动，参考：
2、进入桌面，sudo nvidia-settings，启动NVIDIA X Server Settings，配置成TwinView，点&Apply&，点&Save to X Configuration File&，点&退出&。
3、sudo vi /etc/X11/xorg.conf
找到Section "Device"，加入一行&&& Option "NoTwinViewXineramaInfo" "1"
最终xorg.conf配置如下

N卡Gefore家用显卡不支持3屏输出：
N卡Gefore家用显卡不支持3屏输出，接上3个显示器，只有2个亮。这是硬件限制，在任何操作系统上都不行。
N卡quadro专业卡大部分不支持单卡3屏。
N卡quadro nvs专业卡支持3屏以上输出，有机会再试试。
N卡SLI双显卡 win7 支持3屏输出：
SLI多屏技术实际上是NVIDIA的亡羊补牢之举，因为它的GPU在显示输出部分和上代一样，还是只能支持双路Dual-Link DVI，不可能实现单卡三屏，于是只能通过双卡输出四屏，再通过特殊驱动的支持，将游戏渲染至两个显卡的三个或四个屏幕。
ATI Eyefinity Win7单显卡3屏拼接：
在 XFX 讯景 景钛 HD5670 1G DDR5上测试通过，实现三屏，截图如下。
显卡接口：displayport、HDMI、DVI。
显示器：DVI、VGA。
线材：displayport主动式转VGA、HDMI转DVI、DVI。
ATI Eyefinity Ubuntu单显卡3拼接：
ATI宣称 Eyefinity 已支持Linux，参考资料：
经过实际测试，无法3屏拼接，只能用普通3屏。
提交了bug，AMD官方答复是Linux没有时间表，请自行解决。
