1. What is SafeCom:
SafeCom is a printer administration and consolidation system that allows a user to send print jobs to a virtual network printer and retrieve them at any time by swiping their student cards at any SafeCom enabled printer on the network. It also provides an online management interface to manage print jobs.

These instructions will only work if you are connected to the wired or wireless campus network.
In Windows 7:
Start & All Programs & Accessories(附件)& Run
In the Run window, enter the following address and click OK: \\10.7.1.12\cps-dup
If prompted for username and password enter \yourusername as username where yourusername is your campus mail username e.g.: \san.zhang11
Enter your campus mail password as password and select to Remember my credentials
A progress indicator will show the progress as the system connects and installs the printer.
The system should install its own driver but if prompted you should select
HP Universal Printing PCL 6 (v5.2) Next go to Start & Devices and Printers
The printer should now be listed in the Devices and Printers window under Printers and Faxes:
Right click on the printer and click on Printer properties
Click on Print Test Page
That is all.
In MAC OS X v10.5 or later:
1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
2. Choose Print & Fax from the View menu.
3. Click the + button to add a printer.
4. Press the Control key while clicking the "Default" icon (or any other icon on the toolbar), then choose Customize Toolbar from the contextual menu that appears.
