3 Worse Outfits A Monkey Waiter Could Wear In This Japanese Restaurant Employing Monkey Waiters
We found this creepy video on , that we encourage you to watch, of a Japanese restaurant that apparently has to abide by different health code practices than strip clubs in stringent British Columbia, Canada, which we wrote about here earlier this week.According to CNN, the restaurant uses monkeys as wait staff, including one wearing a woman’s mask. Here’s CNN’s quote:“A monkey wearing a women’s mask and wig will wait on you at izakaya Kayabuki in Utsnomiya, and if you’re lucky, jump on your head.”“That would be lucky!” someone losing money on the Penny Slots at Trump Taj Mahal is thinking right now. But the real question, why is the monkey wearing a mask? We could speculate it’s a disguise: “No monkeys working here,” the owner could report after a surprise visit from the Tokyo Monkey Labour Standards Board. Anyway, for the monkeys out there who feel glum about their creepy costumes and need uplifting, here are 3 worse disguises you could wear while working in a restaurant:1. A . We could see how the Romney campaign might think sending a bunch of monkey Mitt Romney impersonators to what they believe to be blue-collar diners in swing states might make Romney seem more accessible. But when the monkey jumps on your head, as they’re prone to do, that may be a little too accessible for the typical independent “No-More-Monkeys-Jumping-On-The-Bed-Or-My-Head” voters.Another better disguise a monkey waiter could wear in a restaurant!2. An alien mask. This would especially be bad news for Mitt Romney, because as we reported earlier this week, a National Geographic poll indicates that the majority of Americans surveyed believe Barack Obama could better handle an alien invasion than Mitt Romney. We think this is probably because survey takers believe Obama may have played “Space Invaders” back in the day, while Mitt Romney’s favorite video game might be “Pinball” or the more high-tech, but less exciting “Electronic Voting Machine.”3. A Japanese Health And Labour Inspector uniform. This may trick restaurant inspectors into thinking the restaurant is already being inspected by a colleague, leading the non-monkey, real inspectors to leave the restaurant. However, a bunch of health inspectors running erratically and jumping on patrons’ heads at your restaurant may not be good for business or getting a good review on Yelp!

remember me16 unconventional concept-dining restaurants from around the world!
| LinkedIn
Sumptuous food couples with distinguished ambience and exceptional location are all the factors that it takes for a restaurant to become a customer-magnet. While theme restaurants are passé, here’s a list of restaurants whose USP is their unique-quotient.
1. Timanfaya National Park: El Diablo or ‘ The Devil’ (Lanzarote, a Spanish island): Food is cooked atop a dormant volcano
Believe it! Food is cooked over a volcanic hole, using heat of about 450 degree Celsius, emitting from deep within the Earth’s surface, as the medium. There is a huge grill over the gaping hole that enables quicker and more efficient cooking.
2. Ninja (New York, USA): Adds a dash of thrill to fine-dining
This restaurant is a re-creation of an 18th-century mysterious Japanese village. The passages are lit up by paper lanterns. The waiters carry swords and ninjas are seen dangling over tables. &A perfect concoction of fire, smoke and theatrics, this restaurant adds a dimension of thrill to fine-dining.
3. Ithaa (Maldives): World’s first and only all-glass undersea &restaurant
At Ithaa, it’s a happy coincidence that the patrons get to binge on superlative seafood, under the surface of the sea. The marine life actually watches, as one consumes their relatives. New York Daily rated Ithaa, “The Most Beautiful Restaurant in the World” in 2014.
4. Calico Cat Cafe (Tokyo, Japan): The cafe where cats keep you company
Calico is undoubtedly the most popular cat cafes. The idea emerged out of the situation that most apartments in Tokyo don not allow pets. This cafe allows people spend quality time with their feline friends. It has about 50 cats and the owners make sure that the customers treat them well.
5. Dinner in the Sky (Belgium & many other countries): Exactly as the name suggests
A harmonious marriage of food, adventure and excitement, this restaurant literally and figuratively takes its patrons to cloud 9. The trend having originated in Belgium, reached sky spaces of Mexico, Australia, Japan, Brazil, US, Canada, China and Dubai.
6. Cannibalistic Sushi (Tokyo, Japan): Eat sushi from the insides of a human body
Nyotaimori (roughly translating to “female body presentation”) is a weird Japanese practice of serving Sushi on the body of a woman (usually naked) that acts as a plate. The dish is prepped in such a way that the end result resembles a naked female body, including the insides. Disturbingly, red sauce is stuffed in order to create the effect of bleeding when the food is cut into.
7. Dick’s Last Resort (USA): The staff are obnoxious intentionally
It is a chain of about 17 restaurants in the US, in which the staff are rude on purpose. Initially the owners wanted a conventional fine-dining restaurant. But that didn’t work out and they went bankrupt. So they decided to go careless, which worked in their favor. Rude staff aside, the setup is also informal and zany. The regulars here expect to be insulted.
8. Dark Dine Invisible (Bangalore, India): Not a single streak of light & servers are blind
The idea behind creating this literally blinding experience is so that the patrons relish the flavours of the food served. The restaurant is completely devoid of light and the servers are visually impaired.
9. Villa Escudero, or Waterfall Restaurant (San Pablo, Philippines): Dining tables are set at the foot of a waterfall
Diners get to enjoy lip-smacking food while staying submerged in calf-deep waters. This one’s definitely for water lovers. What’s more, one can get to hang out by the waterfall too!
10. Kayabuki Izakaya (Tokyo, Japan): Where monkeys serve food
An Izakaya is an informal Japanese drinking establishment. This one is unique in that it has 5 butler monkeys. Animal Welfare has reported given the green light on this job to be fit for monkeys and since they don’t work overtime stress is not an issue.
11. Rogo’s (Yas Island, Abu Dhabi): Food drops to your table via a 12-meter &tornado spiral
This restaurant quite literally serves fast food. It contains 30 food roller coasters. Each coaster has a table fitted to it where the customers place their orders through tablets. And the chefs, once the order is ready, send it down the spiral, right into the customer’s plate.
12. Modern Toilet Restaurant (Taipei, Taiwan): ?
Words fail me.
13. De Goljer (Deinze, Belgium): You are your own cook, deal with it
This is a DIY restaurant. You are provided with drinks and ingredients and help if you need it.
14. Kinderkookkafe (Amsterdam, Netherlands): It is run by kids!
It is basically a non-profit effort to teach children (aged 5-12) the nuances of running a restaurant. Chefs, cashiers, dishwashers, are all kids. It also doubles as a unique day care facility and has been functional for over 30 years now. The kids however are under adult supervision.
15. Hajime Robot Restaurant (Bangkok, Thailand): Where robots entertain
They not only fetch you your order but also break out into some spunky moves to keep you entertained.
16. Pay as you please (Killarney, Ireland): You make your own bills
The fetching concept of setting one’s own bills is a sure fire way of driving multitudes of people into this restaurant.
