About the Scholarship
This bursary fund is made up of three different types of bursaries. The following groups of students are eligible for Vulnerable Student Bursaries worth up to &1,200:
Young people in Local Authority Care
Young care leavers
Those receiving Income Support or Universal Credit
Those receiving both Employment Support Allowance/Universal Credit and Disabled Living Allowance/Personal Independence Payment.
If you or your parents are in receipt of the specific state benefits listed on the application form, you may be eligible to receive a &Free Meal& award of &500.
If you are experiencing financial hardship during your course you may be eligible to receive a Discretionary Bursary. The amount will vary depending on need and household income. Your household income must be &25,000 or below to be considered.

19+ Discretionary Learner Support
This fund is for students who are experiencing financial hardship during their course. The fund can help with general study costs, accommodation and travel costs.

About the Scholarship
The Alan Fletcher Scholarship was established by the Fletcher family in memory of legendary designer Alan Fletcher, an honorary fellow and College alumnus. It is available to one Home or EU student accepted on the two-year MA Graphic Communication Design (formerly MA Communication Design) course at Central Saint Martins, commencing October 2016.
The Scholarship is worth a total of &29,737 and will cover full-fees for the two-year course, totaling to &9,737 (&4,750 for the

academic year), as well as &20,000 towards maintenance (&10,000 per annum).

Alexander McQueen Scholarship
The Alexander McQueen Scholarship is a prestigious award worth &22,500 established to aid with financial hardship, enabling you to achieve your potential.
Eligibility
Considered Home/EU for fee purposes.
Accepted onto the MA Fashion course at Central Saint Martins, academic year commencing 2016/17.
A graduate, having already gained a first or 2:1 in a bachelors degree from a higher education (HE) institution, or a HE accredited further education institution.
Or for applicants without a bachelors degree, you must be able to demonstrate substantial equivalent and applicable experience.
About the Scholarship
Alexander McQueen, one of Britain's most successful designers, enrolled at Central Saint Martins, and received his MA in Fashion Design in 1992. The collection he produced as the culminating project of his degree was famously bought in its entirety.
He earned the British Fashion Council's British Designer of the Year award four times, and was named Commander of the Order of the British Empire. His bold styles and fascinating shows inspired and wowed the world of fashion, and his legacy lives on.
The award will cover full tuition fees, with a contribution towards living costs and the final collection.

Charlotte and Dennis Stevenson Awards
The University is able to offer assistance to Home students who have course related trips outside of London (or outside the UK) after a generous gift from Lord and Lady Stevenson of Coddenham.

In receipt of a maintenance grant due to household income.
About the Awards
The University acknowledges that students who have trips outside of London can often be in a position where they are unable to take up the opportunity, but the University is now able to offer assistance to these students through the Charlotte and Dennis Stevenson Awards.
Applicants must include a supporting statement in the application form explaining the reason for applying for the award and must supply evidence of costs associated with trips, which should be available from Course Leaders and Administrators.

The Felicity Green Award has been created to ensure that Felicity's influence as an inspirational guide for talented young fashion journalists will continue for many years to come.
Felicity, who received an OBE in 2012 for services to journalism, began her career in the 1960s on magazines and in PR. As associate editor and columnist for the Daily Mirror, her trailblazing features on fashion and lifestyle helped to build the paper's circulation to a massive 5 million copies a day.
The first woman director on the board of a national newspaper, Felicity worked as a high-profile journalist across a spectrum of leading newspapers and magazines. In more recent years, she has devoted much of her time to mentoring and teaching young journalists.

The Jane Rapley Scholarships were established in honour of former Head of College Jane Rapley to help support students at Central Saint Martins and to ensure that the College continues its strong tradition of providing outstanding education for future generations of talented art, design, and drama students.

John Hoyland Scholarship
The John Hoyland Scholarship will cover full fees, and is there to help those in financial hardship.

About the Scholarship
The John HoylandScholarship has been established by the John Hoyland Trust in memory of artist and former staff member John Hoyland. John was a former lecturer at Chelsea College of Arts and Central Saint Martins, and in 1965 he led Chelsea&s first nationally recognised Post Graduate Diploma in Fine Art.
The selected student will need to demonstrate how they will benefit from postgraduate studies, and provide evidence that they are unable to finance themselves, or continue to postgraduate level, without this additional support.

Mead Scholarships and Fellowships
The Mead Scholarships and Fellowships are one of the most prestigious student and graduate support programmes at the University, designed to support University of the Arts London students and recent graduates in the pursuit of excellence through the development of their creative practice.
About the Scholarship
The Mead Scholarships and Fellowships are for talented students and graduates who have demonstrated outstanding ideas and excellence in practice across a wide range of creative sectors, or the use of creative solutions in other sectors.
The Mead Scholarship will provide up to three awards of up to &2500 each for Undergraduate students who have already exhibited a high level of creative potential and excellence in practice, and have one further year of study at UAL following receipt of the grant, thus allowing them the summer period before entering their final year of study to develop a body of research and/or practice at a crucial time.
The Mead Fellowship will provide up to two awards of up to &10,000 each to new and recent graduates, allowing them the time and flexibility to develop a body of research and/or practice after their graduation.
The Mead Programme is managed by SEE (Student Enterprise and Employability) and generously supported by philanthropist Scott Mead, for an initial five years, beginning 2012/13. Scott Mead is a fine art photographer, philanthropist and investor based in London for over 20 years. From his base in London, many of his current business and philanthropic activities take him to the United States and Asia on a regular basis.
Scott's photographs have been exhibited and sold in the UK, Europe and USA and are held in various private and institutional collections. He is involved with a number of major institutions in education, healthcare and the arts through the Mead Family Foundation, of which he is Founder and Chairman.
He has had over 30 years of experience in the financial services sector, including as a partner and managing director of Goldman Sachs, which he left in 2003, and an investor and director with start-up businesses in media and technology.
Mona Hatoum Bursary

Sally had a passion for the arts from a very young age, her primary interest being in fashion design. About the Scholarship
The Stationers& Foundation is the charitable arm of the Worshipful Company of Stationers and Newspaper Makers. It supports a wide range of educational initiatives from primary through to postgraduate education. The Foundation&s new University bursary scheme is aimed at students who plan to study on postgraduate courses which reflect the industry sectors that the Stationers& Company specifically support.
MA courses at ten universities have been selected for this scheme.
The successful recipient will be offered the opportunity to receive mentoring during the period of their studies from an appropriate Stationer, taking into account the specific interests of the student. About the Scholarship
TECHNE brings together seven universities in London and the southeast of England to provide studentships and training for the contemporary postgraduate researcher in a fully-formedprogramme for academic, professional and early career development.
TECHNE welcomes both interdisciplinary research proposals and those focused within traditional discipline areas, and around 50 new awards, covering tuition fees and maintenance (depending on eligibility), are made each year across the consortium for a range of arts and humanities disciplines.
Maintenance rates for 2016/17 have not yet been announced by the AHRC, but for comparison, the 2015/16 maintenance rate for full-time students is &16,075.

UAL Bursaries of &1,000 are available for eligible home students studying on undergraduate courses.
Eligibility criteria for students who started their course in 2012/13 and later:
You must be studying full time on an undergraduate course.
You must be classified as a &home& student by the University.
You must be paying tuition fees of &9,000.
You must be in receipt of one of the following:
&3,387 Maintenance Grant / Special Support Grant from Student Finance England (SFE)
&3,475 Maintenance Grant / Special Support Grant from Student Finance Northern Ireland (SFNI)
&5,161 Welsh Government Learning Grant / Special Support Grant from Student Finance Wales (SFW)
&1,750 Young Students& Bursary or &750 Independent Students& Bursary from Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS)
You will be automatically assessed for a UAL Bursary of &1,000 following your application for funding from SFE, SFNI or SFW. Please note that you must consent to share information with the University in your application for funding.
If you are funded via the Student Awards Agency for Scotland then you will need to provide confirmation of your awarded student support to the UAL Student Funding Service in order to be assessed for the UAL Bursary.
Continuing students who were previously awarded a maintenance bursary via the National Scholarship Programme will be awarded a UAL Bursary of &1,000 even if not in receipt of full state funding support in 2015/16.
A maximum of one &1,000 UAL Bursary will be awarded per student.
UAL Vice-Chancellor&s Postgraduate International Scholarships
Ten scholarships worth &25,000 each are available to applicants meeting eligibility criteria.
Eligibility
You must have applied to study a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL&s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17. Your course must offer either an MA, MDes, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification. Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert), Graduate Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, M ARCH, MBA, distance learning, blended learning and online courses do not qualify. Read our list of qualifying courses.
In addition, if you already hold a postgraduate taught qualification from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad, you are not eligible to apply for a UAL Vice-Chancellor&s Postgraduate Scholarship.
You must be ordinarily resident in one of the low income countries detailed at the bottom of this page. In your application you&ll be asked to evidence with documentation that you are ordinarily resident in a qualifying country. For example you may be asked for a copy of your immigration documents, ID card or formal evidence of your address.&
Acceptance of the scholarship offer is on the condition that you will return to your home country on completion of your taught masters course.

Scholarships will be awarded by a UAL selection panel. The panel will make their decision based on a review of the personal statements provided as part of the UAL Vice-Chancellor&s International Postgraduate Scholarships application process.

Over 150 scholarships are available to applicants meeting eligibility criteria. A scholarship provides a 50% tuition fee waiver for a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL&s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17.
Eligibility
You must have applied to study a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL&s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17. Your personal income must be &35,000 or less (or the equivalent exchange value in an EU member state currency) at the point of scholarship application. In your application you&ll be asked to evidence your personal income (from all sources) with documentation, whether you are employed, unemployed or currently studying. For example, if you are:
Employed and/or have other types of personal income: A copy of your most recent tax statement or copies of your payslips covering a period of three months. Other types of personal income include share certificates or dividend statements for stocks, shares or bonds.
Unemployed and/or in receipt of benefits: A copy of your latest award letter for any benefits you receive. You will also need to provide evidence of any other unearned income during that year to calculate your personal income. If you are not currently receiving benefits you will only need to evidence that your personal income from all sources is &35,000 or less.
Studying: A copy of any award notices of student financial support for 2015/16. You will also need to provide evidence of any earned and unearned income during that year to calculate your personal income. If you are not currently receiving student financial support you will only need to evidence that your personal income from all sources is &35,000 or less.
You need to qualify for the Home/EU category of tuition fee status. Home/EU tuition fee status includes complying with immigration and residence conditions for the UK. You may be asked to complete to UAL Fee Assessment Form to confirm your status. If you are awarded a UAL Vice-Chancellor&s UK or EU Postgraduate Scholarship, this may be used in conjunction with external sources of funding subject to the eligibility terms of those awards. For example you may be able to apply for a &10,000 repayable loan to help fund your studies with the Postgraduate Loan Scheme offered by Student Finance England.

YatMalmgren Bursary
The Friends of Drama Centre London award an annual YatMalmgren Bursary to the value of &4,000.
We cannot accept applications for this award, students will be nominated by their tutors.
About the Award
Named after one of the founding fathers of the Drama Centre London, the renowned dancer, movement director and teacher Dr. YatMalmgren, the Bursary will be awarded to a second or third year BA student at the Drama Centre London who has demonstrated excellence. In view of YatMalmgren&s profound interest in world culture, preference will be given to applicants from outside the European Union.
