　　中国民族图书馆里珍藏着一部蒙古文版《能断金刚般若波罗蜜经》。它是清中期泥金抄本，梵夹装，四周单边，每页21行，一函（54叶）；锦黄缎夹板，夹板内第一页凹处甚为精致，左右两端为金粉彩绘释迦牟尼佛与龙树像。最后一页夹板凹处彩绘四大天王，庄重美观。经页为打磨光滑之蓝黑色厚纸，金汁书写正楷，工整精细。
　　《能断金刚般若波罗蜜经》是中国禅宗所依据的重要经典之一，于公元前494年成书于古印度。般若，梵语，意为智慧；波罗蜜，梵语，意为到彼岸。以金刚比喻智慧之锐利、光明、坚固，能断一切烦恼，故名。此经是释迦牟尼在世时与长老须菩提等众弟子的对话记录。它是大乘佛教重要经典之一，为出家、在家佛教徒所颂持。20世纪初出土于敦煌的 《能断金刚般若波罗蜜经》，为世界最早的雕版印刷品之一，现存于大英图书馆。
　　《能断金刚般若波罗蜜经》也是大藏经《甘珠尔》般若部的重要经典之一，明朝末年从藏文翻译成蒙古文，之后广泛流传于蒙古族地区。（编辑：金哲）[字号：
