  随着年龄的增加,人体的消化系统功能也在逐渐减退,营养的吸收能力在减弱。特别是步入老年期后,消化器官的生理功能明显衰退,消化和吸收功能都明显减弱,在这种情况下就容易发生消化不良。平均每4个老年人中就有1个消化不良患者。
  首先,老年人的牙龈萎缩。牙齿由于长期的磨损引起脱落,咀嚼发生困难,使食物未能被充分咀嚼粉碎就被吞咽到胃中,从而加重胃的负担。
  其次,老年人消化道黏膜、腺体均在萎缩。口腔黏膜萎缩使味觉迟钝,导致老人喜欢吃一些难以消化的厚味食物;唾液腺萎缩导致每日唾液的分泌量降为年轻人的1/3;胃液的分泌液下降为年轻时的1/5。老年人消化液中不但消化酶含量减少,而且其活性也明显降低,肝胆功能下降,胰酶分泌量和活性下降,胆汁分泌减少。胰酶可以帮助蛋白质、脂肪、淀粉三类物质消化吸收,胆汁能帮助最难消化吸收的脂肪类物质乳化,促进食物被胰脂肪酶分解和利用。胰酶和胆汁的减少,都使得肠胃消化食物的能力大大下降,故可引起消化不良。
  再者,胃肠道平滑肌纤维萎缩,弹力减弱,胃肠缓慢性扩张以及胃肠道蠕动缓慢无力,使老年人的机械性消化能力减弱。研究表明,在非溃疡性消化不良的患者中,半数以上老年患者存在胃排空延迟或障碍等现象。
  经常消化不良,严重影响老年人的生活质量,需要进行及时的治疗和养护。
  改善需用药
  逐渐步入老年,身体的消化机能会慢慢下降,常出现如嗳气、早饱等消化不良症状。除胃肠动力障碍外,胰酶和胆汁分泌不足也是老年人患消化不良的重要原因。消化科专家建议通过补充外源性消化酶来帮助消化,改善生活质量。《中国实用医药》曾报道过一组针对于老年人消化不良的研究,其中证实采用泌特(复方阿嗪米特肠溶片)治疗,能增加老年患者胆汁分泌量,大大增加胰酶活性,单一药物即可达到综合治疗的效果,对老年人来说是易接受的药物。
