&&&&& 大意是OEMSF文件被压缩，按组合键重新启动。笔者使用Windows7以来首次遭遇这样的尴尬，反复启动不能进入系统，有点傻眼。&& && 回忆昨晚对C盘做过压缩操作，目的为了节省空间。如图1：图1&&&&& 结果提示压缩时间需要十几个小时，这么漫长，笔者自然不会等待下去，取消压缩操作。尝试解决办法：1、使用Windows7系统安装光盘对系统实施修复。这是系统崩溃后通行的做法，一般情况下可以修复受损的系统文件。若崩溃前创建过系统还原点、镜像文件，就好办了。笔者碍于这些动作势必占用不少硬盘空间，都关闭掉。因此，光盘修复宣告失败。2、取消C盘压缩文件节省空间设置。使用PE微系统取消此设置，重启系统，问题依旧。3、网上查找相关问题解决办法。经查询，有不少可以和笔者同病相怜的用户遇到过此类问题，百度知道回答者建议重装系统，类似解决办法没有让笔者信服。4、自己研究解决。同样使用PE微系统，查看C盘，发现OEMSF文件，用记事本打开，有很多是乱码。如图2：图2&
&&&&&& 从这个文件无法知晓问题出在哪里。于是笔者索性将文件剪切到其他盘。再次重启，顺利进入系统，高兴了一下。可恶的是，桌面黑屏，右下角有几行英文说本系统为盗版。笔者初步推测OEMSF文件未被系统检测到，所以出现这样的信息。又将OEMSF文件复制到C盘，重启电脑。问题成功解决。&&&&& 至于OEMSF文件具体在操作系统中作用，笔者目前未找到相关权威解释，暂时不予以说明。

　　故障现象：
　　电脑开机后出现下面的英文提示：
　　OEMSF& is compressed
　　Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
　　故障分析及解决方法：
　　这个是因为电脑用户的系统盘（通常是C盘）启用了压缩功能而导致的。如下图所示。
　　如上图所示，红色矩形内的&压缩此驱动器以节约磁盘空间&前被勾选了，因此导致oemsf文件被压缩而导致引导失败。
　　很多朋友看系统盘空间不多了而启动压缩功能，但压缩的过程往往比较长而取消，从而造成上述问题。另外，启用压缩还会导致系统性能的下降，建议用户不到迫不得已不要启用。
　　对于这种情况，最简单的方法自然是重装系统了，但如果不想重装系统，也可以采用下面的方法。
　　用PE盘引导，进入桌面后，找到系统盘中的OEMSF文件，将它复制粘贴到其他磁盘。重新启动电脑，使用本机硬盘启动，这个时候可能会黑屏，右下角可能有提示系统为盗版。
　　再次进入PE，将OEMSF文件复制粘贴回系统盘，再重新启动，系统就恢复正常了。

　　故障分析及解决方法：

oemsf is missing press Ctrl Alt Del to restart，你的电脑里面的oem信息已经丢失，按Ctrl Alt Del重启电脑。
通俗点讲就是你系统文件丢失了 。
你可以在WIN7下对另外一个系统进行修复或重装，建议不要格式化，我不知道你两个系统分别在什么盘里，应该这里面还涉及个活动分区。

I Have a Core 2 duo E4400 with 1 GB of RAM on a Gigabyte 945GZM-S2 motherboard
I was running Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1, and was trying to upgrade to windows 7 Ultimate RTM, When I tried Installing windows 7 it asked for 12 gigs of free space, and I could not think of any way to go beyond 11 gigs so I compressed c: drive which gave me 12.5 gigs and I installed windows 7
Right After I installed it, it worked like a charm, I rebooted the PC cauz the power went away, when I tried to boot, thats what got me to the problem,
It would not let me boot saying Bootmgr is compressed
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to continue
So I tried to boot via the Windows 7 Bootable disc, It booted to safe mode via the disc and I tried the folowing
went to dos and tried
expand bootmgr temp
attrib bootmgr -s -r -h
del bootmgr
ren temp bootmgr
attrib bootmgr -a +s +r +h
Didn't work, then I tried
&Click 'Repair my Computer'
At the prompt to select your OS installation, click the button that says 'Load Drivers'. This should bring up a explorer-style drive browser.
Then just right-click on the drive you tried to compress, and deselect 'Compress this Drive', which should still be ticked on. Hit apply, and apply to subfolders/files.
but the problem with that is it does not show the drive is compressed
Any ideas on what I can do now!!!
Edit: I also tried bootrec /fixmbr no luck again!!

try this,it works for me
Validate and Fix the File System
This runs the check disk program to detect and attempt to repair problems on one partition. For example, to repair the C: drive:
At the prompt type chkdsk c: /r
Repair the Boot Process
Typically this is used if Windows doesn't start and you can't get to the safe mode menu. You might also replace the Master Boot Record (MBR) and boot sector if you suspect a virus infection. There are four options:
New MBR - Insert a new generic MBR without changing the partition table.
At the prompt, type: bootrec /FixMbr
New Boot Sector - Insert a new Windows 7/Vista compatible boot sector. It will automatically insert the right type of sector for the file system type (NTFS, FAT32, etc.)
At the prompt, type: bootrec /FixBoot
Rebuild BCD - Rebuild the Boot Configuration Data (BCD). The BCD controls which partition boots. This option will let you select which installations to include in the BCD.
At the prompt, type: bootrec /RebuildBcd
Find OSes - Scan the system for all OS installations that are compatible with Vista/2008 and will also show those that are currently included in the BCD.
At the prompt, type: bootrec /ScanOs
in the end type in C:/expand bootmgr temp

then type in exit
restart your computer
it will work 100% only if you prompt at the same order

Oh my God thanks! I was compressing my drives with my OS's on them, dual HDD Asus M70Vm-C1, so I would stop getting the &low memory& pinging, Little did I know that MS in their infinite wisdom doesn't protect the Boot Manager from being able to be compressed, even though it won't work if compressed, way to go Bill. So I was getting the TFGHT is compressed message which prevented me from logging into either Vista or W7. Thank God Asus has a Linux Expressgate on my laptop which allowed me internet access so I could solve the problem. I'm so glad I found this website with all the helpful info. Thanks moti68.

This doesn't work for me.
After i type in bootrec /fixboot, it say &The volume does not contain a recognized file system. Please make sure that all required file system drivers are loaded and that the volume is not corrupted.&

i accidentally compressed my Drive C
if i will do this:
insert your OS CD
go to DOS window and type in your OS driver (usualy C:/
type in bootrec /FixMbr
then type in bootrec /fixboot
then type in bootrec /rebuildbcd
then type in exit
restart your computer
will i recover my file 100% ?

boot from win7 setup disk (i did from usb pendrive maked with windows 7 usb dvd download tool)
fix boot don't working now
command prompt:
&attrib bootmgr -s -r -h
&del bootmgr
after deleting the file, the fix boot option solved the problem

I have a mash-up PC of an HP a1012x (motherboard) and a Compaq SR1090NX (Hard drive) and various other cards and hardware and I am having this same issue. Everything was working well with a fresh install of Windows 7 except that if I had one of my external hard drives plugged into a USB, the computer tried to boot to it so I disabled all external hard drives in order to fix it but I had not re-enabled any of the drives yet including my cd drives as secondary boot options when I started getting the BOOTMNGR is Compressed message. Now when I try to get to the boot menu (ESC for boot menu, F1 for set up or F10 for system recovery) it doesn't catch any keystrokes as if there's no keyboard attached so I'd like to know if there's another way to reset the cd drives as secondary had drives in the bios w/o actually going into the bios to set them so I can even try the above solution to the BOOTMNGR problem.

我好像没se什么活动分区,就2个,是把笔记本的整一个盘分成2个,一个拿去装windows
有的，建议不要格式化，格式话怕你两个系统及应用软件都用不成了，你可以把损坏的系统个卸载了从装

开机时候 选择另一个系统进入
打开系统偏好设置》找到“系统”栏》点启动磁盘》选中“mac os”那个就行了 如果启动时按住“option”那个键就会出现选择界面了，按左右方向键选择你要启动的系统，敲回车oemsf is missing press Ctrl Alt Del to restart这个意思是 电脑里面的oem信息已经丢失，按Ctrl Alt Del重启电脑估计是你开了系统自动更新造成的 因为是盗版系统 不能开自动更新 用杀毒软件 可以升级补丁

检测不到启动项，你看bios里是否设置硬盘为第一启动项，第二你确认系统无任何问题。
oemsf is missing press Ctrl Alt Del to restart，这个意思是：你的电脑里面的oem信息已经丢失，按Ctrl Alt Del重启电脑。 应该是你不小心格了某些系统文件 ，最好就是重装一下系统，要是有备份的话就还原一下吧。。希望能帮到你。。

我好像没se什么活动分区,就2个,是把笔记本的整一个盘分成2个,一个拿去装windows

检测不到启动项，你看bios里是否设置硬盘为第一启动项，第二你确认系统无任何问题。
