We are fortunate to be supported by some fantastic retail partners and recently French store
generously gave a decadent day in Paris to one of our most passionate stylists!
Last year Hilary Dart won a competition we held among the stylists at MyShowcase and as a reward Oh My Cream! treated Hilary and her daughter to an Aurelia Probiotic Skincare facial and day in Paris. She's kindly written a piece for us all about her trip to the continent...
A Magical Aurelia day in Paris!

After much anticipation the day of our magical trip to Paris arrived.
An early start from St. Pancras on Eurostar was the order of the day, breakfast in hand and a good weather forecast off we set!
We arrived on time at Gare du Nord and hopped in a taxi to St Germain des Pres area, the home of Oh My Cream and one of my favourite parts of Paris – very romantic!
A quick visit to Le Jardin du Luxembourg, typical Parisian park/garden which the French present so well, we then set off to find somewhere for lunch.
La Taverne, a delightful restaurant beckoned where a glass of champagne and a typical French lunch – pate, steak, frites, and cheese – was the order of the day, delicious!
Then with great excitement we were heading to Oh My Cream a delightful beauty boutique which sells Aurelia Probiotic Skincare and also offers the amazing Aurelia facial.
We were greeted by one of the lovely members of the team who escorted Ellie (my daughter) to the treatment room for her facial.
I bided my time window shopping in the enchanting boutiques and succumbed to a beautiful pair of shoes (well you have to don’t you!)
An hour later I was eagerly awaiting my facial and an intimate, quiet treatment room immediately relaxed me and my hour of bliss started.
To be honest I didn’t remember too much as I gently drifted to sleep while Marion worked the Aurelia magic on my face.
Too soon the facial was finished and I floated back to the main part of the boutique and reality!
The Oh My Cream girls made us both feel so welcome and it is a delightful and enticing beauty boutique that does great justice to the fabulous Aurelia Probiotic Skincare products and treatments.
With little time to spare we dashed to Laduree to buy macarons, I know they are available in London but a necessary treat when in Paris.
We then scooted back to Gare du Nord with our fresh glowing complexions for the journey home.
What an amazing opportunity and treat, shared with my daughter Ellie.

Over the coming months Rhian Truman,
for Aurelia Probiotic Skincare, will be sharing her top tips and fascinating skincare secrets in a new series of articles called "Professional Skincare Secrets". This blog, her third in the series, offers us some expert tips on detoxing your skin and body for a clean and healthy start to 2015.
Detox: without a doubt a word that’s on the minds of many of us in January and February, and it’s one that can either scare or motivate you depending on what frame of mind you're in. Detoxes can be taken to unhealthy extremes or attempted rather half-heartedly, but I don’t believe in deprivation or overindulgence? my motto is everything in moderation.
For me detoxing means prompting some dietary discipline, shaking up my exercise habits, upping my beauty regimes and becoming more content with my body. As simple as it seems taking care of your health and being proud of your body always boosts your happiness. The obvious first port of call to kick start your detox is to re- eliminating those personal vices that we know aren’t good for us. Starting from the inside and being more conscious of what you consume is vital to the success of your detox.
What most of us forget is that you can reward yourself by looking after the outside too. Unhealthy overindulgence is a no-no, but spoiling your body from the outside can never be frowned upon as the sky’s the limit when it comes to beauty treatments and pampering sessions at home.
I’d like to share with you some elements of my personal beauty detox regime that I return to when I’m not feeling 100%. As a beauty therapist I always stress the . Whether it’s a full body treatment or a facial, all massage is great to support detoxification. The movement really wakes up the lymphatic system, helping to break down and eliminate toxins.
Once having had a treatment, drinking lots of water and keeping hydrated is really important in helping to flush out toxins. Upping your hydration levels is so beneficial to your health, encouraging all systems to function properly. If you struggle with drinking lots of water why not try some delicious caffeine-free tea? You can find some really tasty detoxifying teas such as rosehip, fennel, ginger, spearmint and dandelion. Drinking more water creates beautiful luminescent and plump skin that you will notice straight away.
For these cold nights at the start of the year, draw a steamy hot bath and sprinkle in some Epsom salts – this is pure heaven. The magnesium, minerals and sulphates in the salts are fantastic for your body, helping flush out toxins, improve absorption of nutrients, relieving muscular fatigue and is a great epidermis healer for eczema suffers like myself.
Buff dead skin cells on your face using a double-action exfoliator like the

I adore making these at home as it’s so easy and lots of fun! I use salt, brown sugar and oats for the exfoliation factor, then just add in a preferred base oil and essential oils. For a real detox boost I recommend salt, grapefruit and mint with an almond oil base, or coffee and brown sugar. If your skin is on the sensitive side perhaps try coconut oil, oats and Manuka honey. Take pride in being good to your body, start from within and spoil the outside.
